for Orange County show growth in the following areas:

According to the NYS DOL, Percentage increase in population since 2000 Census through 2010 revision date to 5/6/11
 
Orange County is projected to experience strong population growth among residents 19 and under. Strong population gains in the 20 to 24- year old population is also predicted. Workers over 45 are experiencing a tremendous expansion in Orange County. People are working longer and retiring later.

The population is also becoming more diverse.
 
Bachelor’s degrees or higher were awarded to 27% of the population of Orange County residents aged 25 or older.
 
Associate's degrees were awarded to 9% of Orange County residents aged 25 or older.
 
High School graduates represent 87% of Orange County's population aged 25 or older.
